Two new bespoke built composite material presses. JRD BIPEL bespoke designed the presses to customer specifications. Each press has two cylinders. Table size 1800mm x 1500mm. Main ram stroke 800mm and daylight between tables 1200mm. Both Omron control system and hydraulic power pack control the press operation. The two presses form part of a fully automated production cell which also has a robot.
The composite material presses design accomodate space for injection pumps on the buttom table to inject resin into the mould cavity while the press tables fully closed and under pressure. Large daylight permit the operation of a robot to place carbon fibre woven tube in the mould cavity and to remove it after it is cured and press open.
