Heated Platens

Heated platens for presses are designed and manufacured by JRD BIPEL. Heated platens are made of steel plates machined. The steel plate is machined flat. Gun drilling is used for cartridge heated platens.

The type of heatd platen to be used depends on customer’s application as temperature can range from 50°c to 430°c.

Type of Heated Platens:

• Electric Heated platens for temperature up to 430°c
• Oil heated platens for temperature up to 300°c
• Steam Heated platens for temperature up to 160°c

Platen temperature can either be set manually or via plc. water and air cooling system can be integrated in to the design of the heated platens.
